Warsaw girls basketball had five players sign their National Letters of Intent Wednesday. Erin McManus is headed to Anderson University next fall, saying she chose Anderson "because I felt at home there, I was at peace there. They want to strive to serve the Lord there, and I want to be part of that." She plans to study nursing, and says basketball will be her outlet. Kyra Kiser signed to attend Elmhurst University in the western suburbs of Chicago. She says she chose Elmhurst "from the very first visit, they showed me that they valued their players." Kyra will be pursuing a double major in biology and pre-med. Alexis Neely put pen to paper to attend Huntington University, where she will also study to become a nurse. She told those assembled at the signing ceremony that she "felt loved at Huntington" and was impressed with the coaches' spiritual focus. Joslyn Bricker signed her Letter to attend Butler University next fall. Bricker said "Butler was my dream school," and when asked why she chose Butler she said "Butler sells itself. I connected with the coaches there, and their faith matters to them like it matters to me." Joslyn will be a Health Science major. And Brooke Zartman made it official by signing with Miami (OH) Wednesday. She says Miami was her choice "from the first visit," adding "it 's the place to be for me. It's far away (from home) but not too far away that I can't come home." Brooke will study Dietetics in college. These five Lady Tigers have helped Warsaw go 61-16 in their varsity careers to this point in their senior season.
