Ellie and AJ Hepler have been doing things together, literally, since they were born. Thursday, they held a joint ceremony to sign their National Letters of Intent to play their respective sports in college. Ellie signed with Indiana University to play on the Hoosiers' volleyball team, and AJ signed to play baseball for the Grace College Lancers. Ellie says her choice was easy. "The second I stepped on campus, I felt at home," she told family and friends gathered at the ceremony. "I felt valued." Her major is sports marketing, and she is hoping to become either an athletic director or a social media manager. When asked why he chose Grace, AJ responded "I don't just feel home at Grace, I AM home at Grace. I love the coaches and the focus on God." While he has not decided on a major yet, he does have a wish of becoming a pilot. "I love flying," he says,"and I have always wanted a career where I woke up every day excited to go to work." Both Ellie and AJ had parents as coaches--Chandra is the head volleyball coach at Warsaw and Abraham is an assistant baseball coach. "My mom has been awesome as a coach," Ellie says. "She's been a great mentor to me on an off the court."
