Tiger Boys Upset Previously Unbeaten Goshen, Gain First NLC Win

Warsaw's dominance over Goshen in the Tiger Den continues. Warsaw lost a 12-point third-quarter lead but won overtime 10-2 to beat Goshen 49-41 Friday night. Goshen has still never won in the current Tiger Den since it was built in 1989. Mydin Burgher led the Tigers with 14 points, including 8-8 at the free throw line--6-6 in the fourth quarter and overtime. Sam McDaniels added 11, including a big 3-pointer in the overtime period. Sam Lara fouled out with 9 points. The win pulled the Tigers up to 6-6 on the season, 1-2 in the NLC. Goshen fell to 10-1. The junior varsity lost to Goshen 46-43 despite 24 points from Landon Kralis. The JV is now 2-7.
