Boys Volleyball Falls to Penn in Four

The Warsaw Tigers battled hard but came up short against the Penn Kingsmen, falling 3–1 in a competitive match in the Tiger Den Tuesday night. After taking the opening set 25–19, the Kingsmen responded with energy to take the second 25–16. This momentum continued into the final two sets, with Penn winning 25–20 and 25–20 to secure the victory. Warsaw now sits at 2–2 on the season. The Tigers showed grit throughout the match, highlighted by strong performances from their senior leaders. Levi Brath led the front line with 9 kills and 5 blocks, while Logan Carl delivered an all-around effort with 11 kills and 26 digs. The offense was directed by Mac Tucker (13 assists) and Patryck Bocianski, who added 12 assists along with 3 kills. Defensively, Silas Hill contributed 18 digs and Sam Bowers anchored the back row with an impressive 38 digs. Despite the setback, Warsaw continues to show growth and resilience early in the season and will look to bounce back Thursday against Dekalb. The JV Tigers provided a bright spot on the night, earning a convincing 2–0 win over the Kingsmen (25–14, 25–20). Ryan Carns and Barrett Hodorek each tallied 3 assists, while John Conley added 3 aces and 2 kills. Luis Neumann sparked the team with 5 aces and 2 kills, and additional contributions came from Fisher Whitaker (2 kills) and Mason Silveus (3 kills). The strong JV performance reflects the program’s depth and promising future as the Tigers look ahead to their next match.
