Quinton Brock collected three hits in four at bats as the Tiger baseball team defeated Mishawaka 8-3 Tuesday. Brock singled in the 3rd and 6th innings and doubled in the middle of a 5-run Tiger 7th. Warsaw Varsity Tigers took the lead for good in the top of the 5th. A Caveman error allowed two runs to score to give Warsaw Varsity Tigers the upper hand, 3-1. Warsaw Varsity Tigers hung 5 runs on the board on just 3 hits in the top of the 7th inning. Logan Kim singled in a pair of runs, Brock’s double added another and Jack Bradford tripled, scoring 2 more. Mason O'Malley earned the win for Warsaw. He gave up 7 hits and 3 runs (two earned) over 6.2 innings, fanning 6 and walking 4. Brock got the final out in the 7th. Kim collected two hits for Warsaw Varsity Tigers in five at bats, while Grady Nelson and Brody Heady each walked twice. Warsaw Varsity Tigers will travel to Wawasee for their next game on Wednesday.
