Warsaw Community High School is pleased to announce Gordon Allen as the newest addition to the Tiger softball program pending WCS board approval. Allen brings more than nine seasons of travel softball coaching experience, including experience coaching athletes at multiple levels and divisions. Allen’s coaching background includes experience with Lafayette Firestorm (16U-18U), Warrior Way (10U), True Impact Softball (12U-14U), and most recently Mad Apple Softball (14U-16U), spending the majority of his that time focusing on player development, defensive and offensive instruction. Allen has spent the last five seasons serving as a head coach with his respective travel organizations. Allen also brings playing experience to his coaching career. He played at New Haven High School from 1997-2000, where he earned four varsity letters as a pitcher and first baseman and was a 1998 IHSAA 3A semi-state runner-up. He continued his playing career at Huntington College from 2000-2001 and later played at Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, primarily as a pitcher/first baseman. Allen’s coaching philosophy centers on being an involved coach and helping athletes reach their highest potential both on and off the field. “I'm excited for the opportunity to lead the Warsaw Community High School softball program, and look forward to developing athletes into the best players and people they can become,” Allen said. With extensive experience in player development, hitting and fielding instruction, Allen looks forward to bringing his knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment to the Warsaw Community High School softball program.
