The Tiger boys soccer team needed a hero in their sectional semifinal match against Homestead Thursday night, and they found one just in time. Sam Fernandez scored the game-winner with just :23 left, set up by Sam Montoya, for the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over the Spartans at Huntington North. Montoya dug the ball out of a 1-v-1 battle on the right edge of the penalty box, then centered it to Fernandez who put it into the back of the net. The goal in the 80th minute avenged a 1-0 home loss to Homestead three weeks ago put them into Saturday night's championship games against FW South Side at 7pm.
