Record-Setting Day For Tiger Boys Track at Hoosier State Relays

The Warsaw boys track team broke three school records and won a state championship on their way to a 9th place team finish at the Hoosier State Relays at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Saturday. Jordan Randall won the state indoor high jump competition with a winning jump of 6' 10". The 4 x 800m relay team of Noah McPhail (1:59), Clark Meridew (1:57), Rick Orr (2:00) and Tyler Mimnaugh (1:57) ran the race in a time of 7:54.78, which was good enough for 3rd place but was the fastest in school history. It broke the record of 8:05.35 set last season by Rick Orr, Meridew, Mimnaugh and Tyler Scwartz by 11 seconds. In the 4 x 200m relay, the crew of Zahmari Terry (23.5), Tucker Reed (23.1), Sam Allebach (22.8) and Josh Conley (23.1) posted a time of 1:32.67, which was 21st at HSR but broke an 11-year old school record of 1:33.01 set by Tanner Balazs, Gabe Furnivall, Tristan McClone, Mike Miller in 2014. The 4 x 400 relay team of Josh Conley (51.0), Rick Orr (52.3), Cam Fox (52.0) and Sam Allebach (50.3) covered the distance in a time of 3:25.66, which claimed 12th place for the event but broke a school record from 2012 of 3:29.46 by Wyatt Jones, Ryan Goon, Chad Goon and Spencer Rheinhardt in 2012.
