The Warsaw Tigers traveled to Fort Wayne Tuesday night and came away with a straight-set victory over the Bishop Dwenger Saints, winning 25-14, 28-26, 25-13. Though the Tigers claimed the sweep, the Saints made them earn every point in a competitive and high-energy match. Warsaw jumped out to a strong start in the first set with clean execution and consistent pressure, but the second set turned into a gritty back-and-forth battle. The Saints rallied behind a home crowd and nearly stole the set before the Tigers pulled out a narrow 28-26 win. Warsaw then regained momentum in the third to close the match with a dominant 25-13 finish. Junior setter Andy Vass led the offense with 32 assists while contributing 3 digs and 3 blocks on defense. Fin Bailey was a key two-way player, adding 6 digs and 8 kills. Miles Rager turned in a strong performance at the net with 12 kills and 5 blocks, while also tallying 4 digs. Logan Carl chipped in with 7 kills and 6 digs, and Levi Brath added power at the net with 9 kills and 5 blocks. Silas Hill also contributed with 3 digs. With the win, the Tigers improve to 7-5 on the season. They’ll be back on the road Thursday to face Westville, with first serve scheduled for 6 PM EST.
