Strong Hitting Not Enough As Tiger Baseball Falls To Elkhart

Even though the Tiger baseball team collected 11 hits Saturday, they still fell 4-3 to Elkhart Saturday at Tiger Field. The story of the game was that the Tigers stranded 10 men on base. The Tigers threatened in the bottom of the 7th. Down 3-1, Warsaw plated 2 runs but was unable to get the equalizer. Hunter Dippon led Warsaw Varsity Tigers with three hits, while Wyatt Stapleton scored twice. Grady Nelson went 2-4 at the plate. Reed Nelson got the ball to start the game and pitched 5 2/3 inning, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits. Brock Bowser got the final four outs. Warsaw Varsity Tigers will travel to Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims for their next game on Monday.
