Bailey's Grand Slam Lifts Tiger Baseball to Win at Plymouth

Kellan Bailey delivered the big blow in the Tiger baseball team's 8-2 win over Plymouth Monday at Bill Nixon Field. In the fourth inning, with the Tigers already leading 4-0, they loaded the bases ahead of Bailey, who proceeded to unload them with a long home run to blow the game open. Warsaw started the scoring in the top of the first inning when Grady Nelson doubled down the right field line, Hunter Dippon walked, and Cohen Heady walked--each scoring one run. Warsaw added another run in the second on a Nelson sacrifice fly to the score 4-0. That offense was plenty good enough for Zac Miller, who earned the win by allowing two hits and one run over four innings, striking out eight and walking two. Brady Krumrie took the loss for Plymouth Varsity Pilgrims. Quinton Brock led the Tigers with 2 hits in 4 at bats. Dippon and Logan Kim led the team with 2 bases on balls each. The junior varsity won 24-17. Jack Bradford went 4-7 with 5 runs batted in and 4 runs scored from the leadoff spot. Warsaw Varsity Tigers play at home on Wednesday against NorthWood.
