It took an extra day, but the Warsaw girls and boys track & field teams both were crowned as NLC champs Wednesday night at the Tiger Athletic Complex. Due to safety concerns caused by rain Tuesday the pole vault competition was postponed til Wednesday. For the girls, Warsaw's score of 196 beat Northridge's 102.5. Champions included Annabel Parker (100m hurdles, 300m hurdles); Eden Metz (800m); the 400m relay team of Parker, Ella Laput, Metz and Hannah Fisher; Elliana Transparenti (pole vault); Cassie Jackson (Discus); Bayleigh Sleeth (shot put). For the boys, Warsaw posted a team score of 160 beat Concord's 119. Champions included Jackson Gackenheimer (1600m, 3200m); 4 x 100 relay team of Zahmari Terry, Jordan Randall, Tucker Reed and Evan Davis; Randall (high jump); Reed (pole vault); James Leiter (shot put); See the full results for both meets by clicking on the link.
