The Warsaw Tigers traveled to NorthWood on Saturday for a final chance to compete and set new personal records during the 2025 season. While the temperatures were favorable, the winds were ferocious but the Tigers competed their way to podium positions and a few Personal Bests were established on the day. Leading the way for the Tigers were Event Champions: Tristan Wilson (200m) Colton Beard (400m) Micah Zaugg (1600m)...ran a perfectly strategic race leaving enough in his reserves to separate from the pack with 220m to go! Nolan Stump (Pole Vault) Quinton Wilson (Discus)...new Personal Best! Blake Cooksey (Shot Put)...new Personal Best! Other Athletes with Top 3 Podium performances were: Micah Zaugg (800m) 2nd Jaxon Lehman (1600m) 3rd…ran a new Personal Best in very windy conditions! Andrew Robertson (110H) 3rd Jamahl Puckett (High Jump) 2nd Colton Beard (Long Jump) 2nd 4x400m (1) Nathan Trusty 2) Alberto Ochoa 3) Griffin Williman 4) Ted Grandon) 2nd “The west wind was brutal today but it was a condition everyone had to deal with during the meet. We knew our sprint times would be far off our bests but we wanted to see the head-to-head competition today. We were excited to see our athletes prepare for this meet seriously and come to compete. Many of our guys got to embrace that feeling of competing at their best at the end of the season and we hope this just continues to feed their fire to invest and improve over the rest of the year. Almost all of these athletes are planning on competing in a Fall sport which will only help them develop for the next Track & Field season. Their growth, development, and improvement has been nothing short of outstanding. Our future is bright.” Coach Scott Erba *Next up for the Warsaw Tigers: Sectionals…Thursday, May 22 @ 5:30p (Goshen HS) Regionals…Thursday, May 29 @ 6p (Goshen HS) State…Friday, June 6 @ 3p (North Central HS)
