The Lady Tigers Cross Country team opened their 2025 season in spectacular fashion, storming to victory at their home Tiger Invite on Saturday. Behind a display of pack running and relentless energy, the Tigers claimed the top four individual spots and sealed the team championship with a near-perfect score of 16 points. Sami Rastrelli set the tone for the day, charging to the individual title in 20:17. Freshman Dani Rastrelli made an impressive debut by taking second place in 20:41, followed closely by senior Abi Marsh in third (20:54). Senior Eden Metz kept the momentum rolling with a strong fourth-place finish (21:00), completing the Tigers’ front-running sweep. The scoring effort was rounded out by Matilda Granger, who delivered a gritty performance for seventh place, securing the Tigers’ commanding win. Also turning in strong efforts were Katie Robertson, Eden Gackenheimer, Hannah Fisher, and Stephanie Malagon who pushed through the pack and showed the Tigers’ depth. “This was the perfect way to start the season,” said Coach Fleming. “The girls worked together, ran as a pack, and showed what this team is capable of. We had contributions all the way through the roster.” The Tigers now turn their focus to next weekend, when they travel to Sunset Hills for the Larry James Invite on Saturday. With confidence soaring after their home opener, the Lady Tigers look to build on their dominant debut. See the final results by clicking on the attachment
