The Warsaw Tiger Unified Flag Football team put on a show at Fisher Field, defeating the NorthWood Panthers 45-35 in a high-energy matchup. The Tigers’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with quarterbacks Brahdee Taylor, Yohannes Schmitt, Kelsey Wrenn, and Sam McDaniels each stepping up to engineer scoring drives. The receiving corps was just as effective, led by Ben Slabach who hauled in three catches, two of them for touchdowns. Nathan Nette added to the offensive surge with multiple chunk plays that moved the Tigers downfield in key moments, while Lillian Jarrett showcased her speed and strength by finding the end zone twice on the ground. Warsaw’s balanced attack proved too much for the Panthers, with contributions coming from every corner of the roster. Defensively, Warsaw stood strong all game long. Dee Nelson and Ari Harmon were pulling flags like it was their job. Senior Wes Martin provided a steady presence, breaking up plays and keeping the unit focused. Martin summed up the effort after the win, saying, "We were locked in tonight. The game got a little physical at times. There were six or seven times we could have cracked, but we aren't backing down from anyone." The Tigers will be back at home next Monday night against Goshen.
