Homestead used a goal late in the first half and an insurance goal in the second half to beat the Tiger boys soccer team in the Homestead Sectional semifinals by a score of 2-0 Wednesday. The first goal came with less than 3 minutes in the half, and the second on a rebound from a free kick with 13:00 to play. Warsaw had the better of the play for most of the first 40 minutes, but could not find a way to get the ball into the Spartan net. The Tigers end their season with a record of 10-6-1.
