In a thrilling finish, the Warsaw Tiger freshman football team secured a 24-16 victory over Mishawaka Thursday with a dramatic game-winning touchdown and a crucial defensive stand. Clayton Dias opened the scoring with a 1-yard plunge into the end zone, followed by Mason Silveus adding a 3-yard touchdown run to keep the Tigers in the game. The defense, led by standout performances from Bryson Ellerson, Tanner Dippon, and Josiah Bontrager, kept the pressure on throughout the game With just 5 seconds left on the clock, Ellerson delivered the game-winning touchdown, electrifying the crowd. As the game hung in the balance, JaJuan Cannady sealed the win with a game-clinching tackle. The Tigers improve their record to 7-1.
