Tigers Come up Short Against Concord, Football Season Ends

By Roger Grossman | Nov 1, 2025 1:55 PM

Warsaw saw the football season come to an end Friday with a 45-28 loss to Concord at Penn's Freed Field. In a crazy first quarter, Warsaw took the lead twice only to see the Minutemen answer two Tiger touchdowns with a defensive score and an offensive touchdown set up by a long kickoff return. Concord would take a 10 point lead in the second quarter, but a 57-yard pass from Quinton Brock to Tucker Reed drew the visitors within 3 at halftime. Warsaw went an epic 10-minute drive that started with 4 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter and continued until just over 5 minutes were left in the fourth. Warsaw took the ball from their own 15 to the Minutemen 8 yard line, but failed to convert on 4th and less than a yard and turned the ball over on downs. Concord's first play on the ensuing drive was a 91-yard touchdown run that put the game out of reach. Warsaw finished 6-4 on the season--the 10th straight 6-or-more-win season for Tiger Football.
